Collaboration
Collaboration cracks open new possibilities and breaks down boundaries across disciplines, genres and communities. It is non-hierarchical and horizontal in nature—an open forum where all ideas are welcome. The new works Apogee Arts creates and the new audiences we engage are only possible because of our bold, multidisciplinary collaborations with dancers, visual artists, writers, designers, composers, photographers, filmmakers, and musicians.
The centerpiece of collaboration is a spirit of open and porous creativity and experimentation. This has allowed Artistic Director Alison Chase to blend narratives, kinetics, and visuals into metaphoric worlds. This is a universal process, available to professional and entry level makers, and is a valuable asset for creative or secular endeavors.
